Speakli uses AI-powered conversations to help children build confidence and master communication skills — at their own pace, in a safe space.
Fun enough that kids keep showing up, personal to each child, and safe by design.
Today's practice is one click from the home screen. Pick it, talk it out, get coaching — three steps, no setup.
Open the daily plan and accept today's pick, or browse the library for something between an easy win and a little scary.
A full voice-to-voice conversation with one of the characters — no typing, no setup. Just click Start and speak for about five minutes.
The moment they hang up: feedback on clarity, structure, tone, and listening, with timestamped quotes from the conversation and one thing to practise next.
Five unique characters, each with their own personality and speaking style. Your child picks who to practice with.
Topics from the actual life of an 8-to-18-year-old — explaining, defending opinions, getting to know people — each paired with a partner whose personality fits the format.
Open the Progress tab and see exactly how this week went: the grade trend, the per-rubric skill breakdown, what they practiced, where they're improving. No leaderboards, no comparisons — just your kid's actual shape of progress.

Yes, each character is a large-language-model persona running on tightly scoped prompts — with a safety layer on top, and scenarios and feedback designed to conform to published child-development research. Conversations are not used to train foundation models. Your child's voice and transcripts stay in your account.
8 to 18. We tune scenarios, vocabulary, and pacing by age band so younger kids and teens both get age-appropriate practice. Accounts are per-kid.
ChatGPT voice is open-ended chat — it follows along and rarely tells your child when something didn't land. Speakli's characters say so in the moment: “I followed the part about the cards, but I didn't get how anyone wins.” Your child explains it a different way, and that repair is what the session records as a skill — not how they sounded. Afterwards they get feedback tied to specific moments, plus one thing to practise next.
Free to get started — audio practice with full feedback and a few sessions each week, no payment required. For more practice there are two monthly plans: Audio ($8.99/mo) with 30 speaking sessions a month, and Avatar ($17.99/mo) which adds up to 10 live video-avatar sessions (5 minutes each) on top of the 30 monthly sessions. Caps reset every month and you can cancel any time — see the pricing section for details.
Speakli is practice, not assessment. It doesn't screen, diagnose, or tell you whether anything is wrong — and it never scores your child on how they sound, only on whether their meaning got across. Dedicated support co-designed with certified speech-language pathologists isn't part of Speakli yet; if this describes your family and you'd like to help shape that work, email hi@speakli.app.
Speakli can't answer that, and any product that claims to should worry you — we have no way to compare your child to a representative sample, and we don't try. What we can say is that a few signs are worth a conversation with a speech-language pathologist rather than an app: if people outside your family regularly can't understand your child, if they avoid speaking in situations they used to manage, if they're losing words or skills they previously had, or if a teacher has raised it independently. An SLP assessment is the thing that answers “should I be worried?”. Speakli is somewhere to practise, and it works alongside that rather than instead of it.
A safe, judgement-free space for kids to practice speaking — with personalized feedback and coaching after every conversation. Free to start.
